about us
Pistil : the female organs of a flower.
Hello! We are Anthony & Carly - owners of Pistil House!
We’re North Pinellas locals who, like many, left home in search of “bigger horizons.” From NYC to Houston, New Orleans to Oregon, and even New Zealand, we chased steady careers and the pursuit of something greater. As it turns out, that “something greater” was waiting right here in our own backyard.
Along the way, we gathered experience working the line, brewing, farming, making wine, processing flowers, and planning events. We paired all of that with our love of old things and turned it into a living, breathing space we’re proud to call Pistil House.
Some people call us a wine bar. Some call us a flower shop. Really, we’re just a reflection of who we are.
Let’s talk flowers — they’re our everything. They inspire us and they’re what bring most of you through our doors. Our blooms are thoughtfully curated and displayed around our fireplace. We sell flowers and greens by the stem in a build-your-own bouquet format, so you can create something that tells your own story. Of course, we’re always happy to help design something special for you.
As for drinks, we run the full spectrum — from our Pacific Northwest-focused wine program to $5 shiners, yellow bellies, and Bud heavies chilling in our clawfoot tub. Our taps feature rotating craft beers from around Tampa Bay, and our shelves are stocked with stellar NA options, from booch to NA beer, wine & mocktails. And for the caffeine lovers, we’ve got cold brew and a latte on tap ready to go.
On the food side, we keep it the menu small but mighty — snacks that pair perfectly with whatever you’re sipping. We also offer a build-your-own charcuterie program. Choose from our rotating selection of meats and cheeses, and we’ll craft it into a proper board with house-made pickles, jams, breads, and whatever else the larder is offering that week. We also serve a rotating sandwich of the week that runs from Wednesday - Sunday. One sandwich on the menu that changes every week.
This is such a special place to us - we even got married here in 2025. So, at the end of the day, our goal was simple: to create a space that feels like walking into our home — a place to share good times, beautiful flowers & lots of love!
